Amy-Lee Ryan tells us about her love for childrenswear as she reaches the final of a competition with George clothing...
University of Salford: Please tell us about your experience at the University of Salford?
Amy-Lee: My experience at Salford university has been amazing. I am glad I came to Salford as there are so many amazing opportunities that may not have been available in other universities.
UOS: How has your final year been?
AL: I have found that in my final year I have developed my own style and what kind of designer I want to be.
UOS: Have your ambitions been realised?
AL: The Salford Uni staff have helped me to realise my ambitions of being a childrenswear designer and helped me to and my specialism.
UOS: Where did you do your internship and how was this experience?
AL: I interned at SIBLING London. It was a great internship, which I learned so much from. Interning at a knitwear company has greatly enhanced my knowledge of knit and crochet and has taught me many techniques that I can apply to my projects.
UOS: What are you plans after graduation?
AL: I am currently taking part in the final of the George Competition. I would also like to travel in search for inspiration for future childrenswear projects.
